It's me. Dave. You might remember me from other County related sites, and after 12 months away from fanzine sites, I'm back.

And now that I am back, this will be the place to hear all of the latest news and views from all aspects of Stockport County and League One.

It is, obviously, an awful period to be a Stockport County fan. But it is a period that will prove who are the real County fans. It is a time where we all need to unite and not give up on the one thing we all love.

Potential heart breaking news could be revealed tomorrow when we hear that former fan favourite Jim Gannon is to take over as boss of Scottish Premier League outfiit Motherwell. And rumour has it that he is to try and take Owain fon Williams with him.

However, I am 100% sure that fans of this great football club would rather see Stockport County in the Football League next year, than Jim Gannon as manager.

This Friday, 3rd July, is a day when hopefully all will be revealed from Jim Melrose and his consortium. Hopefully the news will be that he has taken over as the new owner, that he has got a new manager in mind and that we have got a healthy transfer budget to play with. We can still dream!

My advice to people is to stay optimistic, stay positive, and stay with the greatest football team in the land.

I'm Dave, and welcome to the new era of Stockport County MAD.
