Turnbull also cautioned for diving

STOCKPORT'S hardy band of travelling supporters had little to cheer once again on Saturday as their team lost 1-0 at Peterborough, but Hatters assistant boss Peter Ward was incensed after being denied a late spot-kick.
To add insult to apparent injury, County midfielder Paul Turnbull was booked for diving following a coming together with Posh's Dean Keates in stoppage-time.
Ward fumed: "
It looked a stonewall penalty as the lad has clipped Paul as he turned past him. That was bad enough, but Paul is very angry that he was then cautioned.
"It was a shame because I felt we had played well in the second half and might have got something from the game.
"To be fair Peterborough looked an outstanding side before the break. They switched the ball from wing to wing and overran us a bit.
"George Boyd, who is probably the best left-winger in the league, tormented us in the first half.
"But we changed things around and caused them a few problems. The lads kept battling away to the end which was impressive considering the run we've been on."
Stockport have now not won in their last eight matches and their claims for a last-gasp penalty were not supported by the Posh players.
Defender Craig Morgan was in the vicinity of the incident. He said: "Dean said it was a dive and as he's one of the most honest men I know, I believe him."
