Graham Turner has expressed his concerns about the Edgeley Park pitch
While England Saxons take on their Portuguese counterparts at Edgeley Park on Friday night, Hereford manager Graham Turner will be growing increasingly frustrated ahead of Saturday's match against Stockport.
"You've got a club with the status and standing of Stockport in the game. For them to have a rugby match on a Friday night prior to a game on a Saturday baffles me. We've got to go and have a look at the surface and try and adapt to it. It won't suit the passing game if it cuts up. We might have to adjust a little bit," said Turner.
Stockport have been frustrated by the poor quality of the playing surface during the past few seasons and could be a factor for County's poor home form in comparison to their impressive away record.
Hereford striker, Steve Guinan, was more philosophical in his opinions: "It would not help our game too much as we like to play a passing game. But it'll be the same for both sides. And we will have to get on with it."
