Stockport County travel to Prenton Park for this midweek match
Jim Gannon only has one fit striker in his squad to choose as he takes his youngsters to Tranmere Rover's Prenton Park.Stockport fell to a poor 3-1 defeat at the hands of rivals Oldham Athletic on Saturday and will be looking to bounce back in style on Tuesday night. However, they will have to overcome a Tranmere side that certainly knows where the back of the net is, especially if their comprehensive 4-1 victory over Carlisle at the weekend is anything to go by.
The two teams played out a dull 0-0 draw at Edgeley Park earlier in the season. Rover's Andy Taylor was sent off for two bookable offences in the space of only a few minutes.
County will be without loanee Dave Mooney, having returned to Reading following an injury, as well as Peter Thompson (lung), Matty McNeil (back) and Dominic Blizzard.
Ronnie Moore's Tranmere are missing Craig Curran (stomach), Chris Greenacre (foot), Terry Gornell and Antony Kay (back) but are boosted by the return of tricky striker Bas Savage.
