Jim Gannon has doubled the number of arrivals in the January transfer window with the signing of Reading striker Dave Mooney
Having already secured the month-long loan of eft sided defender Robbie Threlfall from Liverpool, Gannon has succeeded where he failed in the summer by luring prolific striker Mooney to EP.The 2007 eircom Irish player of the year, Mooney led the league scoring charts in the same season while at Cork City; Gannon attempted to bring the 24-year old to County in the summer, but lost out to Reading, who paid £100,000 for his services.
Mooney has found chances hard to come by, however, at the Madejski Stadium and will relish the opportunity to lead the line for County and prove manager Steve Coppell wrong.
Both Threlfall, who will wear the number 5 jersey, and Mooney - who adopts the 22 shirt - will go straight into the squad for Tuesday's home match against Cheltenham Town.
