Sheffield United have allowed County to keep young winger Kevan Hurst for the rest of the season.

The promising 19-year-old joined County in February 2005 and marked his debut with the opening goal in a 2-1 win over local rivals Oldham Athletic.

Hurst has since gone on to make 11 appearances for County and was voted Footymad’s man of the match in Saturday’s defeat to Doncaster.

The loan extension suggests that Kevan Hurst is part of Chris Turner’s plans for next season’s revival, so County may look to make the move permanent over the summer.
